This policy explains what personal data SumSense (“we”) collects, why, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
1. Calculators: your inputs stay with you
Our calculators run in your browser. The amounts, rates and dates you type are not sent to our server. If you use “share link”, the inputs are placed in the link itself, and only people you share it with can see them.
2. Personal data we collect
- Get Legal Help form: your name, phone number, city, optional email, the issue category, your description and preferred contact time. We collect this only with your explicit consent, shown next to the form.
- Contact emails: whatever you choose to send us.
- Basic technical data: anonymous usage statistics, and a one-way hashed IP address on lead forms to prevent spam.
3. Why we use it
We use legal-help enquiries only to connect you with an independent lawyer who can contact you about the issue you described. We do not sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
Lead enquiries are deleted automatically after a fixed period (currently 180 days) unless you engage the lawyer, in which case the lawyer’s own obligations apply.
5. Your rights
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done).
- Access a summary of your personal data and the processing.
- Correct, complete, update or erase your personal data.
- Grievance redressal, and nominating another person to exercise your rights.
To use any right, write to our Grievance Officer at the email below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
6. Cookies and third parties
We use cookies for analytics and, where enabled, advertising (Google AdSense). See our Cookie Policy.
